In 1926 Raymond A. Gallant went to work for a small insurance agency in Acton, Mass. In 1957, father and son Raymond and Dick Gallant incorporated Gallant Insurance Agency. They began with a business model based upon one main principle: dedication and loyalty towards their customers. Their vision of local insurance agency devoted to personal service remains at the core of Gallant Insurance Agency’s values.

Both Raymond and Dick brought with them years of service in the United States Military and education from Burdett College in Boston. Both shared a passion for dedication to friends, customers and the community they each grew up in. This passion developed into a reputation for honest and devoted service. Since its foundation in 1957, Gallant Insurance Agency has seen four generations of the Gallant family, including current President Ray Gallant and his son, Kevin, who joined the Gallant Insurance staff in 2009.

When the business first started, Gallant Insurance catered mainly to a small, rural community. Acton, then, was a town of only about 5,000 residents. In the decades since, Acton and the surrounding towns have grown into bustling suburbs. Gallant Insurance has expanded right along with them.

Today, Gallant Insurance has developed into a leading independent insurance agency, representing over 20 highly rated insurance carriers and serving over 10,000 customers ranging from personal insurance, commercial, to life, health and financial services. The small, family-run insurance agency, which started in one office in a small house, has grown into a highly respected regional agency, with customers located across the entire state of Massachusetts and around New England.
